Technologies

The Technologies curriculum ensures that all students benefit from learning about, and working with, traditional, contemporary and emerging technologies that shape the world in which we live. The key idea is that students are being equipped to create preferred futures. At it's heart Technologies is all about Creating Solutions.

ACARA has organised Technologies (F-10) into two distinct but related subjects.

Click on the hyperlinks for our pages with additional resources related to each Technologies subject.

Design and Technologies

"in which students use design thinking and technologies to generate and produce designed solutions for authentic needs and opportunities."

Digital Technologies

"in which students use computational thinking and information systems to define, design and implement digital solutions."

Each subject is presented through two strands.
